On-siteEngineering$150k–$300k/yrFull-time
About The Role
We're a small, fast-moving team building an AI-driven talent acquisition platform that connects job seekers directly with hiring managers — no traditional applications required. As a Mid-Level Product Engineer, you'll work closely with founders, product, and design to own features end-to-end: from scoping and API design through to production deployment. This is an early-stage role where your work will directly shape both the product and the technical direction of the company.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end product features — from requirements scoping all the way to production deployment.
- Design APIs and data models; implement frontend and backend code.
- Ship user-facing experiences that balance usability and performance, iterating based on feedback and metrics.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into product flows to make intelligence reliable and practical for end users.
- Design and implement scalable backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling (CI/CD, monitoring, testing).
- Collaborate directly with founders, product, and design to prioritize work and define success metrics.
- Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions, making pragmatic tradeoffs appropriate for early-stage growth.
What We're Looking For
- Must-haves:
- 2–8 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping user-facing products.
- Strong full-stack skills: TypeScript and React / Next.js on the frontend; Python or Node.js on the backend.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Practical, production-grade experience integrating LLMs or AI services into applications (engineering focus, not research).
- Comfort operating in small teams with limited process, high ambiguity, and the need to move fluidly across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
- Able to design and implement complete features including API design, data models, and deployment to production.
- Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with API design, real-time systems, and scaling high-throughput applications.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Cursor or similar tools).
- Experience building multi-tenant or enterprise-ready systems.
- Background working in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, legal) or building internal tools for complex domains.
- Strong product sense — ability to translate user problems into practical, measurable solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $150,000 – $300,000 per year (USD), depending on experience.
- Early-stage equity opportunity.
- Visa sponsorship: Not available.
