About the role
The Insurance Product Development Senior Analyst role at Martin & Company is responsible for the full product lifecycle of insurance products, from ideation and market research to regulatory approval and market launch. The role involves collaborating with insurance carriers and MGA to develop new and revised forms and manuals, and recommending modifications in response to department of insurance objections.
Responsibilities
- Define and assist with the architecture of the product vision.
- Prepare competitor comparisons and identify market opportunities.
- Aid in developing project roadmaps, as needed.
- Coordinate the end-to-end process with stakeholders, including ideation, design, development, and post-launch optimization.
- Ensure all products comply with state and federal regulations while maintaining necessary support and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape to guide product development and potential strategy.
- Partner with Actuarial, State Filings, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of client product development initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of innovation and high accountability.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in product development and insurance compliance.
- Extensive experience in insurance product development within the insurance industry required.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with development of proprietary as well as bureau (i.e. ISO and AAIS) based programs and exceptions.
- Ability to review and interpret bureau circulars.
- Deep knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and the associated regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to assist with complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive results in collaboration with the team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with the following is preferred: SERFF, ISOnet, Wrike software project management tool, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
