About the role
Entry-level Product Development Engineer supporting new medical-device technology feasibility. You will plan and execute experiments, analyze data, document findings in an R&D Notebook, and report results to R&D management and peers. The role also involves maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and collaborating with engineering teams on experimental designs and testing.
Responsibilities
- Independently plan and perform experiments for new product or technology feasibility testing.
- Critically analyze experimental data and synthesize evaluations of product and technology feasibility.
- Document ideas, concepts, and patentable results from experiments in an R&D Notebook.
- Report experimental results to R&D management and peers, advising on product development implications.
- Prepare technical reports as needed.
- Support the intellectual property strategy by documenting unique, patentable ideas.
- Maintain scientific equipment to meet regulatory and governance requirements.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) consistent with product development objectives and regulatory guidelines.
- Interface with engineering teams to support experimental designs and testing of prototypes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
- 1–5+ years of direct laboratory experience.
- Experience with Instron equipment is preferred.
Pay
$25–30/hour, 40 hours per week (1st shift).
