Responsibilities
- Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
- Ensure Integer internal and external customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.
- Initiate, direct, and manage the design and development of new products and processes from concept to commercial manufacturing.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate design engineering activities.
- Review, initiate, or approve engineering drawings, layouts, change orders, and specifications.
- Plan process flow, evaluate process capability, modify tooling, build tooling, and design tooling.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project.
- Develop and/or review test procedures and plans prior to implementation, as well as conduct failure analysis and inspection on products, processes, and materials.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures while using judgment when making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
- Prepare all necessary paperwork and documentation for all projects undertaken.
- Adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
- Develop new and unique approaches to challenging problems and work on projects that advance Integer’s technological capabilities.
- Investigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends and recommend best practices to the organization.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement a wide range of new technologies of moderate scope and complexity.
- Identify and procure new equipment and technology of moderate complexity, scope, and cost.
- Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions; review documentation work product of peers and others.
- Plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique problems or team challenges, which have an important impact on moderate to large programs.
- Lead cross-functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity; develop skills to influence others to achieve goals.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within your site or organization; deploy expertise across multiple organizations and/or locations as needed.
- Embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – "I own Quality" – by assuring adherence to QMS, facilitating corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to quality KPIs and the journey to 5 Sigma.
- Support Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies.
- Champion the development and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Embrace the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and its five focus areas:
- Strategy Alignment through Site Hoshin Plans, Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SiOP) meetings, and value stream maps.
- Leadership of Sustained Change through production monitoring, improvement activities, and Leader Standard Work.
- Standardization through workplace organization (5S), Manufacturing Standard Work, and robust training programs.
- Associate Engagement through problem-solving methodologies, behavior-based safety programs, and improvement idea systems.
- Systems & Process Optimization through built-in quality, optimized scheduling, work cell design, and total productive maintenance.
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by your line of supervision.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences.
- Strong technical and problem-solving foundation, with training and certifications in methodologies such as 6-Sigma (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fish Bone), Kepner-Tregoe, or PMP.
- Ability to observe, analyze, and develop solutions to challenging technical issues, delivering measurable results in productivity, technical capabilities, or competitive differentiators.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead team activities and act as a coach for less experienced associates.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills for clear and professional interactions at all organizational levels.
- Maintain a calm demeanor in a high-energy, constantly changing production environment.
- Positive, can-do attitude with an underlying belief that failure is not an option.
- Experience with medical device and implantable products preferred.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Pay
Salary: $94,875 - $139,150
