About the role

The Hardware Engineering Team at Raytheon provides engineering design & development services to a wide range of products. The Critical Item Production Readiness (CPR) department ensures that every product developed is designed with its entire production lifecycle in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Host and facilitate design reviews with a multi-disciplined design team to take PCB and CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
  • Provide supplier support, including travel for onsite support, enabling efficient communication between RTX stakeholders and suppliers, dispositioning supplier requests and manufacturing defects, reviewing supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence and continual improvement, and helping to stand up circuit card assembly testing at a supplier.
  • Mentor teammates on industry knowledge of circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
  • Drive design, procurement, and build schedules to meet program need dates.
  • Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Packages (TDP) to ensure adherence to IPC specs.
  • Perform design for manufacturability analyses.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience to include at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing, Circuit card assembly.
  • Experience with and understanding of IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
