Core Responsibilities
- Conduct field trials for the purpose of collecting and analyzing test data for product validation purposes and performance claims.
- Analyze competitive products and provide perspective on product points of difference and points of parity.
- Contribute to conception, advocate for, and assist with execution of new products using AMSOIL Product Development tools and techniques.
- Aid in the creation of test plans for internal/external use, oversee testing and write reports with conclusions and recommendations.
- Collaborate with AMSOIL Mechanical Lab and Chemical Lab or external facilities to develop test formulations.
- Provide inputs for Data Sheet/SDS for all new products and/or reformulated products within product scope.
- Verify and validate product performance vs. product requirements.
- Complete final sign-off activities to ensure the product meets requirements and is ready for sale/launch.
- Act as a technical expert resource for internal and external customers on products and the applications for which they are used. May require travel to visit external customers.
- Provide technical training to internal and external customers when needed.
- Communicate and work directly with OEMs and AMSOIL Product Development team to gain approvals and support of AMSOIL products.
- Partner with other members of Product Development team to provide technical support for sales calls that support Business Development.
- Support testing and analysis in the Chemical Lab based on Sales specifications and requirements.
- Attend technical trade shows and interact with suppliers.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of applications in which AMSOIL products are used (e.g., industrial machinery, passenger cars, diesel engines, and powersports equipment)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical team members
- Excellent test planning, data analysis, and reporting skills

About the Role
This person will first report onsite to the AMSOIL center in Superior, Wisconsin. After a training period, this position will have a hybrid work schedule requiring at least two days a week in the office.
