Product Development Consultant

About the Role

This position involves providing subject matter expertise in product development processes within the continuous manufacturing industry, advising clients on best-of-breed solutions, and leading large-scale transformational engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to front office client engagements.
• Advise clients on process and technology solutions.
• Lead and shape solution approaches and design.
• Ensure delivery oversight and governance for engagements.
• Execute large-scale transformational engagements from a leadership or SME perspective.
• Provide business value leadership via consulting skills.
• Offer program management leadership or guidance for large-scale programs.
• Collaborate on thought leadership initiatives, including publications and active participation in group drives.
• Strategize and deliver process and IT technology transformational initiatives using consulting skills.
• Provide thought leadership to deliver business value and develop reusable assets.

Requirements

• Work experience and knowledge in product development process areas in the continuous manufacturing industry (BoM Management, Configuration Management, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing value chain processes, industry trends, and enabling technologies.
• Technical expertise and hands-on experience in one or more PLM tools (Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Enovia, etc.).
• Work experience in product analytics (product performance, reliability testing, market analysis).
• Understanding of enterprise technologies like PLM and ERP.
• Hands-on experience in any PLM, CAD, or engineering tools.
• Experience in project management.

Skills

• Formal project management techniques (budgeting, planning, risk management).
• Action-oriented with a willingness to take ownership.
• Ability to build relationships with clients at all levels, especially program and business leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Computer Science.

Pay

$100,000 to $130,000 per annum.
