About the role
This position is with our Adhesive Technologies business unit – where we empower our people to transform industries and provide our customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.
Responsibilities
- Drive year-over-year cost productivity through formulation optimization and raw material cost reduction initiatives
- Improve supply continuity by qualifying alternative raw materials and enhancing formulation robustness
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Product Management, Operations, and suppliers to execute value-driven projects
- Develop and manage structured project plans aligned with business priorities and stage-gate processes
- Perform hands-on formulation, experimental design (e.g., DOE), and data analysis to meet performance and cost targets
- Support scale-up, plant trials, validation, and commercialization while troubleshooting to ensure stable implementation
- Ensure compliance, documentation quality, and alignment with safety, product stewardship, and performance standards while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- 5+ years of formulation development experience in adhesives, sealants, or similar chemical systems
- Proven ability to design, optimize, and adjust formulations to meet performance and cost targets
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept through manufacturing implementation
- Strong hands-on laboratory skills with a practical, execution-focused mindset
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings and business impact to stakeholders
- Experience with DOE/statistical tools, structured project management, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory-informed material selection (preferred)

Pay
The salary range for this role is $80,000.00 and $85,000.00. This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable.
