About the Team

Central Engineering is KLA’s largest engineering organization, comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in disciplines such as Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering. With over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the U.S., each CoE contributes subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, and analytics to differentiate KLA’s products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product applications for existing and pre-release products to solve high-value customer problems.
  • Support new product introduction projects, including characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, and pilot tools in the ramp phase.
  • Potentially support system development at customer sites.
  • Perform product diagnosis, problem resolution, and collaborate with software and systems engineering to verify hardware and software issues.
  • Conduct customer product demonstrations and technical training, including on-site training for Applications Engineers and end users.
  • Document test results, lessons learned, and best-known methods (BKMs) in training documents, demo reports, and Alpha/Beta test reports.
  • Transfer product knowledge to other Applications teams.
  • Generate demo and test reports for internal and customer review.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
  • High energy, self-driven, and motivated engineers with a passion for working in a high-tech, fast-paced semiconductor environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach.
  • Well-organized, hard-working, with strong follow-up abilities and a proven track record in multifaceted technical environments.
  • Experience with analytical software such as MATLAB, JMP, and Power BI is desired.
  • Background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is a plus.
  • Programming and scripting skills in MATLAB or Python are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 0 years of related work experience, or
  • Master’s Level Degree with 3 years of related work experience, or
  • Bachelor’s Level Degree with 5 years of related work experience.

Pay

Base pay range: $93,300.00 – $158,600.00 annually.
