Product Development and Sourcing Manager

The Product Development and Sourcing Manager will oversee product development, sourcing, and supplier management activities, focusing on home textile products and requiring strong Chinese language skills for effective communication with local suppliers and manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for global sourcing operations, collaborating with cross‑functional partners at overseas offices and vendors.
• Utilize negotiation and costing skills to achieve financial targets for the designated product category.
• Maintain and update product costs, while effectively communicating costing options with overseas offices.
• Coordinate tasks to ensure on‑time delivery and high‑quality products.
• Monitor and expedite sample development progress.
• Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, and engineers to develop innovative, high‑quality home textile products.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors based on quality, cost‑effectiveness, and production capacity.
• Work closely with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Development and Sourcing Manager in the home textile category.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing Chinese to effectively communicate with local suppliers.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
• Experience with content, product, and inventory management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Exceptional organizational skills, including planning, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks, and meeting corporate deadlines.
• Experience working with mass retailers such as Target, TJ Maxx, Costco, and Walmart.
