Product Developer (Contract, Deaborn, MI, Hybrid)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Product Developer to support their apparel development team. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to help move products from concept through production, ensuring accuracy, organization, and strong communication throughout the development process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOMs) from prototype to production
• Cook up communication with internal teams and external partners
• Manage lab dips, wash development, and graphics
• Submit and track requests
• Communicate updates to suppliers
• Support the Product Development Manager with finished goods testing
• Maintain EMEA sample and digital libraries
• Track development progress and ensure deadlines are met

Requirements

• Experience & Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field (preferred)
• 1+ years of relevant experience (2+ years preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator
• Familiarity with PLM systems (preferred)
• Core Competencies:
• Knowledge of apparel construction and basic fabric/trims
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
