Product Developer

About the role

Our organization is seeking a Product Developer for a contract position, supporting the Retail Beverage Development team in Seattle, Washington. This lab-focused role involves working with cross-functional partners to ensure product quality and readiness for market.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily lab work including measurements, chemical testing (pH, acidity), product evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
• Prepare, test, and document beverage samples for internal teams and sensory panels.
• Perform yield and loss calculations and other analytical assessments to support product qualification.
• Support product innovation and development projects for Canada and LATAM markets.
• Assist with ingredient conversions, reformulations, and resiliency initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, test records, and lab data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including R&D, commercialization, quality, and operations.
• Monitor lab inventory, equipment, and sample storage.
• Conduct trend and flavor research, with a focus on LATAM consumer preferences.
• Participate in team tastings, sensory sessions, and technical reviews.

Requirements

• Experience: A background in Food Science, Food Engineering, or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Technical Skills: Candidates must have strong documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spanish is a nice-to-have skill.
