Remote employees must be willing to travel to Reno, NV once a quarter.
Responsibilities
- Act as a customer advocate, ensuring the digital experience aligns with user needs and expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to conceptualize and design solutions
- Responsible for the design process from research and discovery through wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and developer handoff
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Conduct usability tests and gain an in-depth understanding of our products and customers
- Create highly interactive prototypes using AI and cutting-edge designs using Figma
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver high-quality customer experiences from concept through launch
- Partner with the Product team to measure the success of design solutions using customer feedback and product metrics
- Stay informed about industry trends and continuously improve our user experience strategies
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field
- Experience designing complex web applications or SaaS products
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, FigJam, and other product design software
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and measurable business or customer outcomes
- Ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive, user-friendly designs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Self-driven with a commitment to understanding our product, our customers, and the nuances of the industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Using AI tools such as Claude Code in the design process for fast iteration
- Experience in the manufacturing industry
- Experience designing products for manufacturing, engineering, CAD, industrial software, or other complex technical applications
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that requires consistent communication, organization, and coordination across cross-functional teams. The position may require time spent in or around a manufacturing facility with exposure to moderate noise, moving equipment, and industrial conditions.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to move throughout an office and manufacturing environment as needed
