About the role
Intern/Co-op position for the Fall 2026 semester, starting in September. Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week. Primarily onsite with possible remote work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare clear, complete and accurate detail drawings, testing, Engineering Change Orders and Bills of Materials from rough or detailed sketches or notes provided by engineers or designers
- Process written Engineering Change Orders including 2D drafting work, Bill of Material changes, and writing Engineering Change Orders under close direction from a designer or engineer
- Make 2D AutoCAD drawings, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project
- Make assembly and experimental drawings as required
- Utilize knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drawings
- Draw finished 2D designs from sketches supplied by a designer or engineer
- Use AutoCAD software and Microsoft Dynamics to distribute part numbers, Engineering Change Orders, and Bill of Materials for company-wide use
- Make small design changes to 3D models previously created using SolidWorks
- Provide documentation and reporting support to the Product Engineering team

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an accredited technical school or university studying toward an associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Must have and maintain a minimum G.P.A. of 3.00/4.0
- Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word and Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Creo or AutoDesk required
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers, supervisors and peers
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
