Product Design Engineer (III)
Position Overview
Our Global client in the tech industry is seeking a Product Design Engineer. The position is located in Mountain View, CA and is a hybrid contract for 6 months. Pay range is $90-110 per hour.
Project Overview
The minimum role qualifications required include:
- 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 5 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Responsibilities
As a "go-to" expert in one area within Product Design, you will:
- Demonstrate engineering expertise through user or consumer-focused product influence in multiple cross-functional areas (e.g., RF, Antenna, EE, Sensor, Materials Science, Operations, CM Processes, Sustainability).
- Analyze data and implement findings at the product level, solving complex mission-critical issues.
- Execute work independently, identify and communicate program roadblocks, and provide guidance to and mentor junior engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- User or consumer-focused product influence in an aesthetic area (e.g., Industrial Design, User Experience, Graphical Artwork, Human Factors, CMF, usability/serviceability).
