Product Demonstrator PT

This role is part-time, not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to adjust based on business or client needs.

About the role

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. You will acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercept consumers to demonstrate products professionally.

Responsibilities

• Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
• Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
• Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
• Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Use the internet, navigate company electronic systems, Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents (Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF).
• Follow any other job-related instructions and perform tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in using and navigating personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.
• Local food handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
• Reach with hands and arms, including conducting tasks overhead up to 65 inches.
• Talk and hear.
• Visual ability to read instructions and perform events.
• Stoop, kneel, squat, climb, or step up a ladder.
• Balance, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
• Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
• Prepare foods and beverages using appliances such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, and microwaves.
• Be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Work Environment

• Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming, adhering to retailer-specific dress code requirements.

Language Skills

English is the primary language required; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
