Product Data Science (Data Labs)

About the role

Join our fast-paced Data Labs team as a Data Analyst, where you’ll handle complex, custom requests from some of the biggest names in the market. You’ll turn raw data into strategic, ad hoc insights in an intense and constantly evolving environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and a curious, adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build custom-made reports end-to-end: from meeting with clients to understand their needs, to writing the code and setting up the report for ongoing delivery.
• Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to transform data into actionable insights.
• Conduct research and develop tools to answer clients’ business questions using Similarweb’s raw data sets and algorithms.
• Partner with Engineering teams to establish scalable infrastructure for solutions.
• Collaborate with the Advisory Services team of Consultants to deliver custom data products and answer strategic business questions seamlessly.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with SQL/pySpark for data analysis (required).
• Experience in Python scripting (required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (required).
• AWS Infrastructure experience (advantage).
• Experience working with clients (advantage).
• Proficiency in Online Marketing/Online Services (advantage).
• At least 2 years of work experience in an Online/Tech Company (advantage).
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree (advantage).

Schedule

This role requires in-office collaboration to create a more connected, unified culture, with the ability to work partially from home.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in the New York City metro area is $100,000 - $140,000. Individual compensation is based on qualifications and relevant experience and may vary for candidates in other locations.
