Product Counsel, Crypto

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Product Counsel focused on crypto to provide business-aligned guidance in governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution and supporting sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal affairs for markets and product development
• Provide strategic legal advice to internal teams
• Guide products through the entire lifecycle from conception to decommission
• Stay updated on digital asset laws and regulations
• Develop guidance for marketing and design concerning product initiatives
• Build relationships with affiliates for effective product management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in financial services (mutual fund, broker-dealer, etc.)
• Expertise in key securities laws (1933 Act, 1934 Act, etc.)
• Experience with regulatory agencies (SEC, CFTC) is a plus
• Strong negotiation skills for financial agreements
• In-depth knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks for crypto assets
• Experience in product counseling within blockchain and securities sectors
• J.D. and active membership with a state bar

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$166,980 – $250,470 annually
