About the role

We are seeking a VP-level Product Control professional specializing in Commercial Real Estate. The role involves oversight of Product Control functions with exposure to Non-Agency Securitized Products, Structured Loan Facilities, Commercial Real Estate, and Derivatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage P&L/BS reconciliation, reporting, and provide appropriate commentary on drivers.
  • Field Trading Desk queries.
  • Oversee and manage Front Office to Back Office (FOBO) reconciliations and drive continuous strategic improvements to the FOBO process.
  • Month-end close responsibility, including General Ledger substantiation.
  • Track activity across multiple legal entities.
  • Daily interaction across multiple support functions: Front Office, Regulatory, Treasury, Operations, Corporate Control, Information Technology, Market Risk.
  • Continue development of the analytical environment, including attributed P&L explain(s) and derivative analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience within Financial Markets, specializing in Commercial Real Estate Finance.
  • Strong Excel skills; PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental accounting concepts.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, good problem-solving capabilities, organized, and self-starter.
  • Highly motivated and driven to succeed in a challenging environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and tenacious approach to problem-solving with a focus on results.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

Pay

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $145,000 and $175,000 per year. Base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge, advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off).
