About the role
The UFC is seeking a Producer to join our Emmy Award-winning production team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience producing a wide array of original programming and short-form content for major sports and/or entertainment brands across various media platforms. This role involves creative input and execution throughout the production process for multiple, diverse projects simultaneously, working alongside staff production personnel while managing freelance crews and vendors. This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Function as studio producer for long-form podcast productions executed at UFC’s broadcast operations center.
- Function as field producer in media gathering for productions that service long-form narrative content.
- Function as post producer for long-form programming and digital content distributed to UFC’s YouTube channel and partner platforms.
- Produce short-form content, including promotional spots/trailers, features, opens/teases, and sizzle reels across all media platforms.
- Write voice-over narration scripts for long-form and short-form content.
- Direct talent and conduct interviews with fighters, coaches, and trainers.
- Collaborate with a crew of cinematographers, designers, editors, and associate producers on various projects, emphasizing innovative thinking and strategic risk-taking in the field or post-production environments.
- Interpret research and analytics to provide insight that effectively translates into the production of compelling content.
- Engage in multiple projects simultaneously while efficiently adhering to budgets and delivery schedules.
- Provide guidance and editorial oversight to video editors and motion graphics designers in a post-production environment.
- Facilitate effective communications between departments (marketing, sales, creative, PR, digital, sponsorship, etc.) and with external parties (media partners, corporate sponsors, production vendors, etc.).
- Continually raise the bar for innovative producing and creative storytelling, inspiring others to do their best work.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Producer for major media brands.
- Demonstrable, relevant experience creating and producing compelling long-form video content across multiple platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in all facets of production processes, including the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in all facets of audio and video capture hardware and software.
- Experience in platforms related to digital distribution and data/analytics.
- Experience directing crew and talent.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a sports environment is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of MMA is strongly preferred.
