What will you do?
- Participate in and instruct others on the onboarding and maintenance of National Indemnity Company and Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies appointed agencies.
- Answer questions and assist in obtaining monthly, quarterly and year-end surplus lines written premium detail from Company Owned Agencies.
- Research insurance laws/regulations on a variety of surplus lines, company licensing, producer appointment and licensing, and related topics.
- Draft new Agency Agreements, Limited Agency Agreements, and applicable amendments for signature by authorized parties.
- Prepare new and renewal producer license applications and supporting documents for Company, Divisional and Company Owned Agency licensed producers, in accordance with state insurance department requirements.
- Review new and renewal policies for proper producer licensing and initiate appointments as appropriate.
- Review agencies’ year-end surplus lines premium reports for accuracy and request necessary corrections.
- Correspond with agencies to request updated financial information, E&O renewal policy documentation, and other reports as needed by management.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 1 years work experience
- Experience with personal computer and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
- Business math
- Alpha/numeric filing
- Recordkeeping
