Essential Functions
- Leverages personal networks, local connections and community partners to generate new business opportunities.
- Marksets insurance risks to companies in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the company and in compliance with industry law.
- Sales, service, and solicitation of all forms of insurance business.
- Maximizes growth and client retention through superior customer service.
- Develops accounts and leverages cross-selling opportunities for available products and services.
- Generates and pursues new client opportunities; brings new business prospects to closure.
- Represents Dodge Partners Insurance services and solutions at prospect meetings.
- Builds and maintains strong business-to-business relationships to support long-term client retention.
- Actively manages and updates expiration lists using both internal databases and external sources.
- Provides prompt follow-up on client referrals to ensure a high level of service and engagement.
- Conducts targeted prospecting calls to identify business needs and growth opportunities.
- Gathers information to prepare competitive quotes and markets accounts to carriers, collaborating with support staff as needed.
- Keeps current on industry trends and regulatory changes; actively pursues ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Works with the Account Managers to complete pre-underwriting, information gathering, submissions, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations as needed.
- Effectively builds relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visits, and negotiations.
- Accurately maintains prospects, new, and renewal business in the agency management system.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience using Agency Management System Software.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Deadline-driven.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a group or independently.
- Excellent prioritization skills, sense of urgency, and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
Special/Physical Requirements
Office attendance: Hybrid/Remote schedule available once training in successfully completed. Some travel opportunities for professional development and industry training.
