ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Maintains a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Assists with produce merchandising duties to include preparation of produce products for display, stocking and pricing of product and creating special produce platters to order.
• Ensures that quality and fresh products are displayed.
• Removes substandard looking product and reports to the Produce Manager or first clerk.
• Rotates and examines perishable product to ensure proper quality, code and condition.
• Provides a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times with all customers throughout the store.
• Works in a manner ensuring that corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations are being maintained in accordance with company policy.
• May be required to be available for training and work in other departments.
• May be required to perform duties in the Produce department as per management request.
• Ensures the accuracy of customer special orders (i.e.: vegetable and fruit platters).
• Replenishes bulk food displays (i.e.: island and wall displays).
• Operates various produce equipment including but not limited to product weight scales, juice and pineapple machines.
• Controls shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
