Produce Clerk ELR
Position Summary
The Produce Clerk assists with inventory counts, prepares product for display, builds and maintains product displays, rotates and maintains department schematics, cleans and sanitizes work areas, and monitors temperatures in coolers and cases. This role also involves product knowledge, unloading trucks, organizing inventory, working cross-functionally with other departments, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product
- Inventory merchandise on hand
- Set-up and maintain all displays
- Aid manager in maintaining pricing and signage
- Maintain neat and orderly coolers
- Use and maintain of sprinklers on produce
- Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages
- Maintain cleanliness of scales
- All other duties assigned within the department
Education And Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in produce departments or supermarkets is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands And Work Conditions
The physical demands and work conditions include sitting, standing, handling objects, tools, and controls. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is typical of an office and retail store, ranging from quiet to loud. Ability to drive and flexibility to travel to all company locations as required.
