About the role
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities

- Manage inventory and maintain product quality.

- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Answer questions about products and suggest additional purchases.
- Prepare and display produce platters/trays.
- Inform customers of specials and recommend products.
- Prep, package, label, and inventory merchandise.
- Inspect products for quality and freshness.
- Report discrepancies and maintain temperature logs.
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Resolve conflicts in a non-confrontational manner.
- Follow safety procedures and report incidents.
- Provide support through direct interaction with customers and employees.
Requirements
- Minimum ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Current food handlers permit.
- Desired comparable retail experience.
- Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
