About the role

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Answer questions about products and suggest additional items.
• Prepare and display produce platters/trays.
• Monitor and report on product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
• Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Report incidents such as accidents, customer or employee misconduct, and illegal activities.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Resolve customer and business issues through direct interaction.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Requirements

• Minimum ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit.
• Desired comparable retail experience.
• Second language proficiency (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
