Produce Clerk

About the role

As a Produce Clerk at Rosauers Supermarkets, you'll be at the forefront of bringing nature's bounty to our customers' tables. You'll prepare, package, and display fresh fruit products, ensuring they are of the highest quality and freshness. Your dedication to organization and customer service will help customers access the finest fruits, vegetables, and herbs while enjoying a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce.
• Stock and rotate fresh produce, regularly checking freshness and removing items that do not meet quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Stay updated with present, future, seasonal, and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed.
• Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge/passion for produce.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
