About the role

The El Super #50 Starting Rate is $16.90 per hour. This position is open to those who can provide excellent Customer Service, love their Community, and love Food.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service
• Clean, fill and rotate perishable (produce) displays
• Assist customers
• Lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods

Requirements

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
