About the role

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers
• Cleans perishable displays
• Fills and rotates perishable displays
• Lifts up to 50 lbs, bends, stands and stoops for prolonged periods

Requirements

• Able to read and write Spanish/English
• Able to interact with general public and co-workers
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Able to write simple correspondence
• Able to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate
