About the role

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department and control all established quality assurance standards. Monitor all functions, duties and activities related to the Produce department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitor and manage customer volume.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels.
  • Manage pricing and promotional activities.
  • Train and develop associates.
  • Manage conflicts and customer interactions.
  • Manage financial reports and budgets.
  • Comply with safety regulations and report incidents.
  • Participate in performance appraisals.
  • Support and assist with customer inquiries and requests.
  • Respond to customer feedback and suggestions.
  • Manage and update shelf tags and promotional signs.
  • Implement and execute sales promotions.
  • Manage and maintain temperature logs.
  • Participate in departmental and store-wide business planning.
  • Manage and maintain department budget.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Current food handlers permit.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Any management experience.
  • Any produce/retail experience.
  • Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
