About the role
Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate 40+ full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This position is located in West Allis.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with all Produce associates to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Maintains department goals and objectives
- Trains new associates and conducts performance reviews
- Writes and conducts performance reviews of associates
- Documents violations and conducts corrective action
- Answers questions and provides guidance to associates
- Observes and corrects sales floor and back stock conditions
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing
- Communicates with Store Director, Produce Manager, and other Department Managers
- Provides customer service, assists guests, and resolves issues
- Contributes to overall cleanliness of the department
Requirements
- High School Education or equivalent
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the retail food business
- Tactful and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival will pay for certification)
Qualifications
- Leadership experience
- Computer literacy
- Perishable department operations knowledge
- Safety training and knowledge of equipment (hand jack, baler, forklift, cutter, etc.)
