About the role

Rite-Hite Products Corporation is seeking a Production Team Leader to assist the department supervisor in meeting daily production goals. This role involves coordinating production activities, providing direct assistance to employees, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates production scheduling and daily production activities to align with the master schedule and inventory requirements.
• Directs production employees to ensure timely, on-time production.
• Serves as a primary contact for employees regarding production issues and resolves them.
• Works alongside the area supervisor to maintain communication and coordination.
• Maintains product quality by monitoring compliance to print specifications and enforcing safety practices.
• Tracks and reports quality and efficiency trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensures continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, housekeeping, and on-time delivery.
• Assists in identifying employee training needs and coordinates or provides on-the-job training.
• Supports the Production Supervisor in interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of related experience or training.
• Welding certification.
• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures, company products, components, and production/inventory control.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and supervisors.
• Experience in a production environment.
• Understanding of quality control and continuous improvement principles.
