Procurement Training & Contract Management Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Training & Contract Management Advisor to support the development of procurement training programs, contract knowledge resources, and process improvement initiatives. This role will serve as a subject matter expert, helping procurement professionals strengthen contract literacy, negotiation practices, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures. The ideal candidate combines deep procurement and contract management expertise with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical, and engaging learning content. Key Responsibilities Develop procurement training materials, process documentation, job aids, playbooks, and learning resources.Review and interpret procurement contract templates and create training content covering:IndemnificationInsurance requirementsWarranties and remediesContract terms and conditionsSupplier negotiationsCreate practical learning content focused on real-world procurement scenarios and decision-making.Coach procurement professionals on contract negotiation processes and procurement best practices.Partner with Procurement Leadership, Legal, and Learning & Development teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment.Develop standardized training solutions that improve procurement capability and reduce operational and contractual risk.Reinforce established procurement processes, governance standards, and compliance requirements.Identify recurring challenges and opportunities to improve procurement execution through training and process guidance.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement operations and contract management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required.10+ years of procurement, sourcing, contract management, or supply chain experience.Strong experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements.Deep understanding of:Master Service Agreements (MSAs)Supplier AgreementsGeneral Terms & ConditionsContract Redlining and NegotiationsIndemnity and Insurance ProvisionsWarranties and RemediesExperience creating training materials, SOPs, playbooks, process documentation, or educational content.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.Experience partnering with Legal, Procurement, and cross-functional stakeholders.Strong coaching and knowledge-transfer capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing training programs for procurement, sourcing, contract management, or supply chain teams.Experience in Procurement Centers of Excellence (COE), Procurement Governance, or Procurement Operations.Experience in utility, regulated, or large enterprise environments.Familiarity with freight terms, Incoterms, and supplier contract negotiations.Business process improvement and change management experience.Experience supporting enterprise procurement transformations or capability-building initiatives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rosemead, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
