The Procurement Technician

Responsibilities
- Create Purchase Orders (PO) and track orders from suppliers (validate prices and delivery dates)
- Active follow-up on vendor confirmations and expected delivery timelines
- Assume the administrative functions related to procurement and replenishment activities (MRP Handling, Prepayment requests, sort various documents and perform data entry, etc.)
- Pricing validation and adjustments
- Negotiate returns with suppliers
- Negotiate strategically and continuously with suppliers
- Manage shortages & obsolescence
- Work closely with internal clients
- Be constantly looking for new products and / or suppliers
- Maintain good relationships and strong partnerships with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and guidelines with suppliers
- Perform any other related tasks required by the position
Requirements
- ACS or DCS in Procurement
- Good understanding and knowledge of ERP, MRP systems
- Speak, read and write French (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Teamwork oriented
- Good ability to prioritize within tight deadlines
- Able to work under pressure and to adapt to change
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Able to problem solve
- Strong customer service skills
