About the Opportunity
The Procurement & Sourcing Manager leads strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement initiatives to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply continuity. This remote role contributes by developing and executing sourcing strategies that support manufacturing operations and new product launches, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for direct and indirect materials.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers related to cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
- Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, terms, and supply agreements.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, risks, and capacity constraints for procurement planning.
- Drive cost reduction through supplier development, value engineering, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing on product launches and improvements.
- Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct business reviews.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions while minimizing production impact.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, quality standards, and ethical sourcing.
- Maintain procurement data, contracts, records, and reporting.
- Support inventory optimization balancing service, cost, and working capital.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
- Proven success in supplier negotiations and cost savings.
- Experience managing supplier performance and strategic relationships.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred:
- Experience sourcing metal, fabricated metal, or glass components.
- Background in industrial, building products, automotive, architectural, or engineered manufacturing.
- Knowledge of supplier quality systems and manufacturing standards.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM.
Pay
Salary range is $115,000 to $145,000, commensurate with experience.
