About the role

As a Procurement Manager at CBRE, you'll manage a team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services. You will assist clients or departments with developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies. This role is part of the Procurement function, focusing on sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training, development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and daily team activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Work with business stakeholders, operational shared services teams, and sponsors to develop and execute procurement strategies at local and regional levels.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and business documents for purchasing goods and services.
  • Manage contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals; inform peers and corporate management of changes or results.
  • Oversee supplier and contractor certification processes; conduct periodic visits to supplier work locations to review vendor performance.
  • Mentor and educate on contemporary outsourcing practices and their value.
  • Analyze account-wide facility management services spend, suppliers, operations, and statements of work to identify value creation opportunities.
  • Assist with creating RFPs, selecting solutions, and negotiating; prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers.
  • Ensure contracts adhere to company standards.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and influencing parties to reach agreements.
  • Deal with sensitive issues and apply knowledge of procurement to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, or difficult information and convey performance expectations.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related calculations.

Pay

The minimum salary for this position is $115,000 per year, with a maximum of $130,000 per year. Compensation is based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
