About the role
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and procurement operations to support SPS business objectives and client requirements. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure procurement activities deliver value, cost savings, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities (RFI/RFP/RFQ) across assigned categories
- Deliver measurable cost savings and value (cost avoidance, demand management, contract optimization)
- Support implementation of category strategies defined at regional/global level
- Take ownership of selected indirect categories (e.g. IT, professional services, BPO, facilities, HR services)
- Maintain category plans aligned with broader procurement strategy
- Monitor supplier markets and identify commercial opportunities
- Manage key supplier relationships and performance (KPIs, SLAs)
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract renewals
- Mitigate supplier risk and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Partner with business stakeholders (Finance, Operations, IT, HR, etc.)
- Challenge demand and specifications where appropriate
- Act as a trusted advisor on procurement and commercial matters

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Procurement, or related field required
- Minimum of 5–7 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management experience required
- Experience managing indirect procurement categories within a corporate, professional services, outsourcing, or enterprise environment preferred
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and delivering measurable cost savings
- Experience managing supplier relationships and vendor performance programs
- Strong understanding of procurement methodologies, sourcing strategies, and contract structures
- Experience working in matrixed or multi-site organizations preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong business acumen
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret procurement and financial data
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment
- Experience with procurement software, (ERP Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, or sourcing platforms preferred
- Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or related certifications are a plus
