Procurement Manager
Position Summary
The Manager of Procurement will play a critical role in overseeing both the procurement and supply chain functions within the organization. This role will require a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that optimize costs, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the availability of materials and services to support business objectives.

Core Functions
- Manage and develop Procurement strategy, engaged with commodity market trends.
- Analyze data, process flows, and supply chain functions to maximize resources.
- Conduct a corporate RFQ tied to gathering product information, estimated annual usages, SOP timing, and merging the details with an approved supplier list.
- Assign ownership and accountability for process issues and corrections.
- Monitor and evaluate activities that assure supply-chain volume flow that protects manufacturing operations.
- Establish supplier manufacturing capacity requirements.
- Manage supply chain activities by establishing expectations for processes and responsibilities.
- Create, develop, and manage a purchasing strategy that will develop and improve relationships with the current supply base, as well as develop new potential suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain yearly purchasing business plans and budget.
- Determine supply chain KPIs, i.e., PPV, competitive pricing, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain cost control, promote cost savings, and provide leadership in support of goals and VA/VE.
- Proactively analyze and identify system utilization concerns and process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of related experience required. 2+ years in a leadership role required.
- Experience: Strong background in commodity management. Experience working in a multinational company is preferred. ERP experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, emphasizing Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish preferred.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports and various data sources.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of database software and manufacturing processes.

Supervisor Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.

Working Conditions
This position operates in a professional office environment. This position will occasionally visit a manufacturing plant setting.
