Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the company's operational and financial objectives.
• Sources, evaluates, and selects suppliers for raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring they meet our quality, cost, and delivery standards.
• Leads contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
• Cultivates and maintains strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.
• Maintains an awareness of market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.
• Collaborates closely with production, sales, and finance departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Analyzes procurement data and spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Ensures all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.
• Manages the entire purchase order process, from creation to final delivery and payment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, or in a similar senior procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• An exceptional understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrable experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
• The ability to work independently and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
