Key Responsibilities
- Cook up and oversee procurement activities to make sure they stick to federal, state, and local rules.
- Take charge of bidding competitions, write down what you need, look at all the bids, and pick the best one.
- Keep track of how fast things are moving and check that the deals are working out as planned.
- Give advice to different parts of the company about how to do procurement right, help companies that aren't big enough get involved, help make rules, watch over some people, and teach others about vendors.
Qualifications
- A college degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.
- At least six (6) years of experience managing procurement and following rules in places like government agencies or public organizations, with at least two (2) years in government procurement.
- Knows lots about government procurement rules, like 2 CFR 200 and HUD Handbook 7460.8, and understands all sorts of other rules too.
- Can talk, think, and solve problems really well, and can handle lots of different procurement tasks without making mistakes.
- Is really good at using Microsoft Office and knows how to use tools to keep track of projects and vendors.
