Procurement Manager – Animal & Pet Nutrition - NA - Chicagoland

About the role

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process for animal and pet nutrition products across North America, focusing on Chicagoland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective and quality product supply.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement objectives with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to procurement and supply chain management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract management.
• Strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with procurement software and tools.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
