This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units. Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, with core products such as fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, focusing on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Synchronize the supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company.
- Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered to the right place at the right time.
- Act as an authorized agent of the company, managing supplier-related activities and committing company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Develop requests for quotations and proposals, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and award contracts, and manage post-award supplier activities.
- Manage inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
- Monitor customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning.
- Incorporate planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of metrics, training, and training materials.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Skills
- Strong data analysis skills (preferred).
- Power BI expertise (desired).
- Knowledge or experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes (advantageous).
- Familiarity with MRP Systems, with preference given to SAP experience.
This is a union-represented position.
Pay
- Summary Pay Range - Senior Level (Level 5): $115,200 - $176,650.
- Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Kansas Tax Credit: Eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
