Procurement Engineer
Opportunity Overview
The Procurement Engineer (PE) role at WECTEC Staffing Services is a 1-year contract assignment based in Jupiter, FL 33478. This position supports project, operational, and outage work for the nuclear fleet.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate purchase requirements and associated testing/certification
- Conduct Item-Equivalency Evaluations (IEEs) to combat Obsolete/unavailable items
- Review challenges with parts upon receipt, known as OSDDs
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Licensing teams to guide fleet-wide success
- Perform fundamental to complex engineering activities requiring application of standard techniques through nuclear industry standards and regulations
- Participate in analysis and evaluation of engineering problems
- Develop test activities to evaluate recommended solutions and analyze data for result inconsistencies
- Oversee engineering vendor activities and perform owners' acceptance reviews on deliverables (SDN, SDR, 4016)
- Cook up discussions and trainings in group settings to resolve problems or coordinate production and Operating Experience
- Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations
- Ensure successful implementation of all assigned projects with schedule ownership
- Support refueling outages, emergent modifications, and other Procurement Engineering responsibilities
Requirements
Bachelor's - Engineering Experience 0- 5 years. Preferred Qualifications include Nuclear Experience, NAMS Asset Suite Experience, Test Engineer or Hands-on Experience with Equipment, Microsoft Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel), and AI Experience using NEE.AI, CoPilot, ChatGBT – Specifically the assistant functionality.
