About the role

To provide direct support for the procurement and supply of Indirect materials for multiple operations and food processing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Buying Support for a mix of indirect materials, including managing purchase requisitions, creating & issuing purchase orders, order confirmation, invoice resolution support, and maintaining department records and documentation.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and adapt to new schedule requirements.
  • Support new supplier qualifications, plus any transition of new/modified goods/services.
  • Initiate, develop, and issue RFP’s/Quotes for various purchases under Agent or Manager’s direction.
  • Perform research and data analysis with frequent use of Excel and SAP.
  • Gather data and track various department metrics, such as corrective actions, inventory use, and cost savings.
  • Explain policies and procedures to internal customers in writing and verbally and support compliance with internal controls.
  • Support cost reduction opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Expected duration of assignment is 6-9 months.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and strong understanding of SAP resource platform.
  • Strong understanding of MS Excel, including formulas, to manage detailed information.
  • High school diploma required; prefer one-two years of business school or college, and strongly prefer a Bachelor’s degree.
  • One-three years of purchasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, sound analytical skills, and ability to organize work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.30 - $25.10 per hour

  • Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm.
  • Additional $2.00 per hour worked between 12:00am-4:59am.
