Procurement Category Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will manage sourcing and supplier priorities that improve value, reliability, and operational performance. You will partner with finance, operations, legal, and business stakeholders to negotiate effectively, manage vendors, and support better purchasing decisions. The position offers the opportunity to improve cost discipline, supplier performance, and the processes that support scalable execution within a manufacturing environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Manage strategic sourcing for Marketing, HR, Consulting, and Finance categories Conduct complex procurement analysis to align with business goals Negotiate high-value service contracts for savings and benefits Develop and execute sourcing projects and initiatives Manage vendor relationships and enforce contract performance Utilize procurement analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities Oversee post-contract vendor management practices Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Procurement sourcing and category management Understanding of procurement law and contract negotiation Experience in Marketing, Human Resources, Professional Services, and Financial Services categories Demonstrated track record of leading sourcing processes across multiple stakeholders Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels Strong negotiation skills for high-volume, high-risk deals Experience with eSourcing tools is a plus Benefits Opportunity to work on global category projects Exposure to innovative procurement strategies and methodologies Access to a network of global strategic vendors Chance to influence procurement practices at a senior executive level Focus on ethical sourcing and compliance standards Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
