Responsibilities
- Coordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Manage all aspects of procurement to support business needs.
- Use your expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing process.
- Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.
- Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics, and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
- Generate reports for On-Time Delivery (OTD) for supplier performance.
- Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining inventory turn cycles.
- Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchases.
- Interact closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure all aspects of procurement is represented during project launch and execution.
- Responsible for on-going supplier performance improvement.
- Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas.
- Expedite and escalate purchase part shortages as needed.
- Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or experience in lieu of degree required.
- 2-4 years procurement experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory, planning, and manufacturing environments.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on competing priorities and to delegate when appropriate.
- Ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment.
- Demonstrated solutions-oriented mindset and ability to lead process improvements and develop standards/procedures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to comply with ITAR requirements.

Preferred Skills
- Procurement experience within Aerospace environment preferred.
- Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Previous experience in international logistics a plus.
- Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plus.
