Procurement Associate

This position provides a chance to be part of the mission of the Office of the Adjutant General to ensure the public safety of Missourians through statewide facility operations. The role offers a direct impact on Missourians and the public safety of our communities.

Job Location: Ike Skelton Training Site, 2302 Militia Dr., Jefferson City, Missouri 65101

Responsibilities

• Serve as agency liaison for agency supply orders.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy and procure goods or services within pre-established limits of contracts and state policy.
• Provide support to agency programs related to trash services and payments.
• Analyze and approve agency purchase orders for compliance with state purchasing and procurement procedures, statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Process requisitions, purchases, receipts, and delivery of goods and services.
• Track agency purchase orders for agency delegation authority compliance.
• Provide training for procurement staff on procurement procedures and policies.
• Prepare and analyze procurement-related financial reports and reconciliations.
• Assist state agency staff with travel arrangements.
• Process PCard purchases, maintain transaction log, and reconcile monthly PCard statements.
• Perform other related work as assigned.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
• Communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to acclimate to changing priorities and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Working knowledge of procurement principles and practices with the ability to apply them to various procurement transactions.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships within the office and supporting offices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the SAM II Financial System and MissouriBUYS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Familiarity with State of Missouri procurement policies and procedures.
