About the role
The Procurement Associate role at IPX Power will support sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, and contract execution for critical equipment and EPC services across IPX Power's renewable energy projects. This position reports directly to the Strategic Procurement lead and works closely with development, engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to support the structuring, execution, and management of procurement transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support sourcing strategy and procurement activities for EPC contracts and equipment supply agreements including BESS, PV modules, and GSUs
- Assist in managing competitive procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, and bid evaluations for EPC contractors and equipment suppliers
- Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of EPC agreements and equipment supply agreements
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic vendors and supply chain partners
- Conduct supplier market research and support identification of new vendors and procurement opportunities
- Partner with project teams to support procurement strategies that optimize cost, schedule, and risk
- Collaborate with engineering, development, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment with project requirements
- Support contract management activities including amendments, change orders, and post-contract administration
- Aid in tracking procurement-related cash flow, payment schedules, and financial obligations tied to contracts
- Monitor supply chain risks (including tariffs) and support mitigation strategies impacting project timelines and budgets
- Track vendor performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
- Provide procurement insights and market data to support project development and investment decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, project controls, or project development supporting infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Exposure to EPC contracts and equipment supply agreements within renewable energy or large infrastructure projects
- Foundational understanding of renewable energy supply chains and contracting structures
- Experience supporting procurement processes such as RFPs, RFQs, and vendor evaluations
- Ability to support analysis of commercial terms and contract structures
- Experience with contract management, tracking obligations, and supporting change orders
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, including experience supporting cash flow tracking and forecasting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment
- Proficiency with Excel, G-Suite, and procurement or project management tools
