Procurement Analyst

Work location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in person (80 Park Plaza, South Plainfield – 4000 Hadley Rd, and/or Plainfield Gas – 40 Rock Ave).

About the role

The Senior Procurement Analyst will manage the procurement of Construction Services for the Client Capital Projects portfolio. Responsibilities include managing the procurement process for Civil, Electrical, and A/E purchase orders, contracts, renewals, re-sourcing recurring contractual commitments, and handling emergent work in support of operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the procurement Subject Matter Expert for multiple business units or at the enterprise level to leverage procurement activities.
• Focus on planned and emergent work within a single business unit, with the ability to apply expertise across business units.
• Supplier identification and qualification.
• Procurement sourcing and RFP preparation.
• Bid evaluation and negotiation with suppliers to purchase materials and services.
• Materials and services contract development and administration.
• Material and service planning.
• Managing internal expert review protocols.
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders.
• Integrating scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) plus 5 years of procurement or supply chain management experience.
• Experience analyzing proposals and negotiating with suppliers.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Ariba, SAP, CLM) – desired.
• Experience working in a teaming environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated client satisfaction history.
• Requires 10CFR810 compliance.
