About the role
The mission of the Department of Insurance is to enforce the insurance laws and regulations of the state impartially, honestly, and expeditiously. The Louisiana Department of Insurance is seeking a Procurement Analyst 1/2/3 to join the Office of Management & Finance, Purchasing Division. This position supports the Department's daily operations by coordinating the procurement of goods and services, administering purchasing and contracting activities, and ensuring compliance with state procurement laws, policies, and procedures.
You'll work with agency staff, vendors, and state partners to deliver efficient, cost-effective purchasing solutions that support the Department's operational needs. Minimum Qualifications
- Three years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR
- Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
- A bachelor’s degree.
Experience Substitution
- Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.
- The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
